Dear Participants of Performing Death Workshop. Thanks to each of you for attending our workshop. BRAVE HEARTS you are. Now we ALL get to perform the next step because after creatively opening so vulnerably and tenderly and publicly to DEATH, like we did, there is now the OPPORTUNITY to hold close that SELF who allowed us all to create so honestly. One of my art mentors once told me” Linda, for three days after a performance refrain from negative judgment, self criticism and regret at what you said and did.” Now is the time to remember these suggestions and also use self care mantras like , WOW I WAS AND AM SO BRAVE !!! Etc . Make up your own positive self talk words and keep them going for theee days. Keep your self talk POSITIVE until the waters settle for these three days. And ALSO reach out for verbal support from others , maybe from the group, to develop these skills of staying non judgmental, comforted and connected. Thanks to each of you for being willing to travel so intimately into the reality and inevitability of our shared reality of death. May we continue to be fearless and may all beings be fearless.
