WHAT IS FEMINIST ART.....SMITHSONIAN ARCHIVE

WHAT IS FEMINIST ART: SMITHSONIAN ARCHIVE

ear Linda Montano,  LINDA  MARY MONTANO, CHICKEN WOMAN, CHINMAYANADA

You are invited to share your ideas about what feminist art is or could be. I HAVE NO IDEA.  IM NOT AN ACADEMIC, JUST  A SIMPLE ARTIST WHO HAPPENS TO HAVE BEEN BORN FEMALE.The project What is Feminist Art? will highlight historical and contemporary responses to the ever-relevant question.

The exhibition and research project are organized by the Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art and a committee of curatorial advisors. We may exhibit your response in its original format. GREAT.  I LIKE IT IF IT IS EXHIBITED IN THIS FORMAT WITH THE INVITE.We may present your response online and in educational programs. OF COURSE.  PERMISSION GIVEN. At the close of the exhibition, the responses will enter the Archives of American Art and made freely available to researchers, unless you indicate otherwise. MAY ALL INCORPORATE THEIR ANIMA/THEIR BEST OF WHAT IT IS TO BE FEMALE.  MAY WE LISTEN TO FEELINGS AND COMPASSIONATELY EXPRESS THEM. LOVE LINDA MARY MONTANO: PERFORMANCE  ARTIST.

Responses are due July 1, 2019. I DID MY EARLY,  MAY 8, 2019.

Please refer to the attached invitation and instructions for details on participation. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Savig (savigm@si.edu).
